An Avianca airliner was flying from the American city of Orlando to the Colombian capital Bogota, carried out an emergency landing after colliding with a large object in the air
According to The Aviation Herald, the plane was about to land near the runway at Bogota airport when it collided with a large plastic object, which intertwined with its engines, wings, and the left and right horizontal balances as well.
The crew managed to safely land on the runway, and videos recorded by eyewitnesses showed that the whole plane was entangled in New Year’s Eve decorations. Colombian media speculated that the plastic object may have been a fireworks balloon.
Social media pioneers strongly denounced the behavior of celebrants, which nearly led to the plane crashing.
